Cards And Secrets - YAOI CHAP 21

Everything quitened down after everything that happened with Lexi, Mindy and the others. With Yugi's pregnancy, time progressed by so quickly. Marik and Malik decided to move to Domino to keep our little circle of friends together, they had been staying with Ryou and Bakura, until Ryou had a mood swing in his pregnancy, accidentily on purpose threw a vase at Marik, causing Marik to have a huge rough playfight with Bakura. This leaving Ryou cant keep coping their constant fighting and so he and Bakura were in turn staying with us, so that Marik and Bakura had some seperation, Marik and Malik had somewhere in Domino to stay for a while, on the condition that if they break anything they replaced it and they paid the rent.

Again it was a convienient compromise as then Ryou and Yugi could deal with the wedding together as Ryou decided to be Married on the same day and time so it would be a double wedding. Saved money and seemed more romantic as Yugi explained. We all decided to move the weddings until they both had given birth, that way there was no mood swings to ruin the big day, we had longer to plan and also so that in their mind, they didnt look fat in their wedding photos. Me and Bakura were now able to deal with the mood swings together. Which at first was funny as hell, because if you've ever seen a rough and tumble, murderous, evil and braisen tomb robber, yelp in fear and cower at the sight of half of his size angry Ryou, you too, would laugh.

Six months in.

"I need strawberries, and prawn cocktail crisps," Yugi said gently. I raised an eyebrow at him and chuckled. "Kura, can you get me some prawns and some chocolate?" Ryou added. They were both sitting softly on the couches in the living room. They both slumped around in jogging bottoms and a huge baggy top. Their stomachs were huge, seven months pregnant and they only had a little while to go. They had begun getting strange food cravings during the pregnancy and these were the usual requests. Yuk.

The thing was, they didnt eat them seperately, Yugi liked to chop the strawberries, throw them in a open bag of prawn cocktail crisps, hold the top of the packet and then shake it, so the flavouring of the crisps went over the strawberries. At first I had to inwardly gag, it smelled and looked repulsing. But Ryou wasnt any better, he'd melt the chocolate and dip the fresh prawns inside the chocolate leaving them to cool slightly before eating them. I was so confused by all their cravings as I knew if they wasnt pregnant, they too would probably find it just as repulsing as I did watching them eat them down.

However after many months of buying these, we'd grown accustomed to their odd requests and both left to go to the shop, locking the door firmly and leaving them both to their movie. As we walked down the road Bakura started the conversation. "I cant wait til the babies are here," He mumbled in a sort of moan. "Yeah I know what you mean, its getting so intense now I just want to be a dad and get my Yugi back," I added kicking a stone. "So have you both checked the gender yet?" He asked for the millionth time. He and Ryou were having a little boy. However Yugi and I did not want to know the sex of our baby as we wanted it as a whole suprise. I shook my head. "Nope, i've told you a million times that we dont want to know yet," I chuckled. "Have you thought of any names at least?" Bakura replied. "Well we've got Sagira, Areana, Yuna and Amey for girls names or Tira, Tidus and Atum for a boy," I replied softly as we turned another corner to the shops.

"Well we've decided with Yuki, as it means snow," Bakura said proudly. I smiled and nodded. Ryou had already told me but I didnt want to ruin his moment. We passed a billboard that had a poster for music concert on it for a band at nearby local bar. We turned another corner and headed into the shop. The shopkeeper had come to know of our unusual rituals and had found their cravings rather cute, either that or she just gave us those looks that said she thought me and Bakura we insane. I collected the daily paper, as a small boy ran over to me. He must have been about ten years old. "Hey," He said tugging at my jacket. I smiled at him and waited for his response. "Are you the King Of Games?" He asked curiosly. "Why, I am little one why do you ask?" I responded with a smile as Bakura rolled his eyes being too used to this and paying for our goods. "Can I get you to sign one of my cards, you're the greatest duellest that has ever lived, well you and Kiaba anyway," he said with a shy tone.

"Jaden I told you not to bother him!" The little boys mother snapped appearing round one of the isles of the shop and waiting by his side. "I'm sorry he bothered you," she said gently and glaring at him. I smiled at her softly. "Its perfectly fine," I replied. I knelt down to his level, took the pen and card that he offered me and signed the card for him. I noticed it was a Kuriboh card. I smiled inwardly. I handed them back to him and he looked at the newly squiggled markings on the back of the card that I had made. "Aww Thanks your the best," he jumped grinning happily. I chuckled and waved him goodbye as his mother thanked me and pulled him away. "I just cant take you anywhere," Bakura grumbled and I replied only by laughing at him. We left the shop, still hearing Jaden exclaim joyous comments and I felt a little big headed if i'm honest but I loved it.

An ambulance shot by as we casually passed the same familiar landmarks, The concert poster for Millenium, the park, the arcade and finally up our road. However when we turned our final corner, We noticed the ambulance was parked outside our house. We sprinted up the road with our shopping to find out what had happened. "I knew we shouldnt have fucking left them alone!" Bakura cursed. We busted through our front door to see paramedics surrounding Ryou and Yugi. I fought through them all to find Yugi was fine, holding Ryou's hand. Bakura pushed some of them out of the way to come to the same view I did. There was a little puddle underneath him.

He was in labour.

"Bakura? Oh Bakura The Baby Is Coming!" Ryou shrieked in a panic. "But Ryou thats great isnt it?" His dark replied after he took it in. "The baby is eight weeks early, thats never usually good," I added, I knew it wasnt the best to say but I knew it and Bakura needed to know too. "Oh christ," was all that Bakura could curse before a paramedic spoke to him. "If you're the father there is something you need to know, we need to take him to the hospital as the baby is going to come and is going to need intensive care in order to survive," He said. Bakura just remained silent and just nodded blankly. The paramedics lifted Ryou partially only to get a yelp from him. Bakura was once again alert pretty quickly as he growled lowly at one of the paramedics before pushing him away and helping Ryou up himself. I helped Yugi up and hugged him tightly from behind. I then took his hand and lead him to the ambulance that Ryou was being helped into. "Can we come?" Yugi asked gingerly. "There's not enough space really," one of the paramedics started before Bakura growled again and nodded to Yugi.

I smiled, liking this Bakura. I had noticed that if you were one of the lucky few who had befriended him, you knew that he'd have your back for life. It was always comforting to have a raving lunatic murderer to have your back. I chuckled again inwardly as I helped Yugi into the back and hearing another wail from Ryou. "Stop fucking moving him about too quickly," Bakura snapped angrily at the paramedic who had tried getting Ryou to lay down immediatley.

Once we arrived they shouted about in words I couldn't be bothered to understand, and rushed Ryou away pretty quickly. I casually walked slowly with Yugi and followed them whilst I held his hand. After convincing  the ward receptionist that we had come in with Ryou and Bakura, we hurried into the ward and waited outside the little theatre room they had for delivering babies by cesarian. We heard a painsplitting cry from Ryou which I saw Yugi reach for his bump protectively as his reaction. We then heard Bakura again. "Cant You Useless Fuckers Just Give Him Some FUCKING MORPHINE?!" He yelled angrily. I laughed at his way of being panic stricken. I reeled Yugi in for a hug and rubbed his bump gently, feeling a little kick from the baby inside. Thats My Girl   I thought.

Yugi sent a text to the rest of the gang the news that Yuki was going to be arriving into the world. I however, just continued to find peaceful solace in rubbing Yugi's bump softly. We heard Ryou scream again. "IF YOU BASTARDS DONT GIVE HIM SOME FUCKING MORPHINE I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU!" Bakura yelled again. I chuckled again. I had come to take pleasure in Bakura's quick temper when it came to Ryou. Which made me wonder if he'd be the same with Yuki.

After a painful hour of waiting we heard a baby's cry and what sounded like Bakura choking in Happiness. "Ryou he's Fucking Beautiful," Bakura choked happily. Yugi and I stood up, I noticed Yugi couldnt wait to see the little one. "Has it happened?" Duke Cried bursting through the door with Tristan, Kiaba, Joey, Malik and Marik in tow. "The baby was just literally born, I hope we'll be able to see him soon," Yugi said in a slight squeal. I didnt admit it but I too was excited, this just made me realise how soon it was until I had my baby in my arms, boy or girl and I really couldnt wait to see them. I hugged Yugi tightly and purred in his ear, I just wanted us. I was a little jealous of Bakura at this point of time,   I wanted what he had.
